Hello, We will arrive at Hai Phong Airport at 12:10 and we were thinking of taking a taxi to Ben Binh and a ferry, the one at 13:00 or 15:00. I have read that taxis are atound 130000VND plus the airport fare 15000VND, is this correct? Are scams usual? Do you think we will arrive on time to take the 13:00 ferry?
Then we will go back to Hanoi and we don’t know if it is better to do it on our own (ferry to Ben Binh + bus at Lac Long Station) or to buy a combined ticket to do it by bus shuttle to the north of the island + speedboat + bus to hanoi. We are afraid of loosing to much time with the pick ups, how much is it good to pay for this? Thanks

Thank you for your interest in us.
The distance from Hai Phong airport to Ben Binh is around 10 km and take you around 20 minutes. The price above is correct and you should not pay more than 200.000 VND.
You also need to cover the hydrofoil ticket which will cost you 180.000 VND/ person.
For the return, you’re better take the combo bus package ( bus – speed boat – bus) which only cost you $12 US/ person as the way via Ben Binh and Lac Long might cost you more. Moreover, the local bus would drive dangerously as always, take long time and will stop a lot on the way to pickup people. They also will take the old road – not new high way to save the fee.
