You also will have chance to learn more about local life and the ways of fish catching in this island as it has become a traditional job in Cat Ba Island from generation to generation. Since tourism has developed in the last decade, local people still remain catching fish in traditional way for their own need and for tourist.

Cruising out to remote area of Lan Ha bay for catching fish at night. Dinner on boat in the middle of the bay

Itinerary

17:00 PM: Departure from Cat Ba town for 30 minutes sunset cruise out to the middle of Lan Ha bay

18:30 PM: Under the instruction of experienced fisher man, start setting up fishing net and trap on specific locations. Fishing by rod and light are possible while waiting for all the nets and traps getting fish stuck.

19:30 PM: “Harvesting” time comes to see how lucky you are.

20:00 PM: Having your dinner with fishes you caught on boat and getting back to Cat Ba town. Trip ends (D)
